Checking out Google Maps for showing my route as it develops. With luck you'll be able to see the actual day by day route, and zoom in to see the roadkill (hopefully not me).
I've loaded in the predicted route for day 1, ending in a nice KOA Kampsite with swimming pools and onsite restaurants. Perfect after a long ride.

What a great feature - looks pretty green and lush there, I was expecting parched, scorched earth. How far is your first day?
yeah is an awesome planning tool, can zoom in on the roads and see individual cars to check out how busy it is
florida and louisiana are mostly swamp, the parched bit starts further west
first day is about 60 miles, i just cannot wait, after cycling all winter in freezing rain and strong winds, riding in calm sunny florida is gonna be AWESOME!
